Do you deliver?
Yes I do. Delivery is free for wedding cakes but I can often deliver novelty cakes too depending on the distance. Please ask when ordering.
Do you set up wedding cakes at the venue?
Yes I very much like to do this wherever possible to ensure I achieve your desired look. There is no charge for this service as it is an integral part of the overall finished product .
How far in advance do I need to order my cake?
It is wise to book your wedding cake as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Most brides order at least 3 months in advance to ensure their date is held for them. A 50% deposit is required when placing your wedding cake order with the remaining balance due 2 weeks before your wedding day. Novelty cakes need approximately 2 weeks notice depending on how intricate they are and a 25% deposit is required when booking.
Do you cater for people with allergies?
Great care is taken to ensure that contamination whilst baking does not occur. However, it cannot be guaranteed that there are no traces of allergens present in the kitchen as all allergen specific food groups are present on the premises.
Do you make gluten and dairy free cakes?
Yes. However, as mentioned above, gluten is present on the premises and whilst every care is taken to prevent cross contamination, it cannot be guaranteed.
Will you decorate a cake that I baked myself?
Yes although it is very tricky! If a friend or relative wants to bake your wedding cake I could still decorate it for you. However, there are strict guidelines re size, shape and depth and unfortunately if the cakes do not meet those requirements it may not be possible to achieve your exact look.
Do I have to choose a cake from your gallery?
Not, not at all. These photographs are examples of work for other clients. If you are ordering a wedding cake come along for a complimentary consultation where you can choose the flavour and style of your cake. Bringing swatches of fabric, pictures of cakes you like or the artwork from your invitations are all great starting points from which your ideas can be translated. I keep a small selection of 'dummy' wedding cakes in my studio which may also give you some inspiration.
